Split system or ducted: what suits your home?
The best starting point is which rooms you want to cool or heat, and when you use them.
Start with the rooms you use
A wall-mounted split system serves a room or open area. Ducted air conditioning distributes air through vents across multiple rooms. Zoning can let you control groups of rooms, depending on the system.
Look at your layout
Room size, insulation and available ceiling space matter. A larger unit isn't automatically the right choice; an installer needs to assess the home and size the system for the spaces you want to use.
Get a more useful quote
Tell the team which rooms matter most, when you're home and whether you're replacing an existing unit. A floor plan and a few room photos can help explain what you have in mind.
